Killarumiyoq

Half Moon Waka

Killarumiyoq means stone that contains the moon. It’s a waka (Sacred stone or Inca temple) that shows its beautiful half-moon shape carved into the rock with slopes that possibly functioned as a lunar calendar, to mark the times of planting, harvesting and care of the crops. It would also denote the importance of the mother Moon, the Goddess Mamakilla or Pacsemama, who in the Inca religion was the sister and wife of the God Inti, associated with the fertility and productivity of the earth, and everything that it contains, for which her divine feminine presence in this universe was very important!

Would it be a temple for her?
